Enjoying flowers and being creative led me into the floristry business – meeting people and helping them create exactly the right mood or tone for their event is what keeps me inspired and motivated at Flowers by Anne-marie.

For me, what was lacking in traditional florists was the personal touch, so I resolved to make my business different – I get involved at every level, working with customers to understand their needs and adding my own creative touch to turn their wishes into reality.

Recently I have had the pleasure of working within different local organisations who needed a floral touch to enhance their business. For example I spent a weekend working with Beverley Folk Festival creating arrangements to match the weekends chosen colours, incorporating musical instruments into the arrangement to enhance the theme of the event.

Last year  I designed and installed the Christmas decorations and decorated the Christmas trees at a York hotel – and included a range of table decorations that could be used for various different functions.

On a more personal note, family events are always important to any florist business and we are no exception.

I love working with brides to ensure their wedding day flowers are perfect, we help them every step of the way, from an initial free consultation right up to the big day itself.

On a sadder note, when a loved one passes away, floral tributes are still the most popular way of showing regard and respect for the family – Choosing flowers at this time can be difficult, but we are experienced and sympathetic, we can even visit you at home to discuss your needs and explain the various options.

We aim to be the best florists in Goole by looking after our customers.
